How To Care for your LeGassick Diamonds

Diamond Care Guide

If you’ve invested in a brilliant LeGassick Diamond, you’ll want to ensure it performs at its best for years to come. Although diamonds are extremely durable, your jewellery is not invincible so it’s important to take good care of your beauties.

Minimise Handling

Your fingers provide enough oil from your skin to alter the way your diamond looks. If you do need to handle your diamond, never pick it up by the stone as this can loosen the claws or setting. A soft polishing cloth will help to remove finger prints and smudges from the band.

Remember to store your diamond jewellery separately as diamonds can damage and scratch other pieces. A fabric lined jewellery box or compartmental case is ideal, or store them in the LeGassick Signature boxes they came in.

Implement a Routine

Treat your rings with love and commit to removing them when cleaning, cooking, gardening or going to the gym. Not only for hygiene purposes but also to avoid scratches and knocks. Removing your rings is a good habit to get into to prevent a build up of bacteria often causing skin irritation.

Avoid Harsh Products

Chlorine or abrasives (such as toothpaste) should never be used to clean your diamonds as they erode some of the metals used in the diamond settings.

Visit a LeGassick Master Jeweller

Your LeGassick ring comes with a complementary lifetime clean and polish service so take advantage and have your ring inspected regularly at a LeGassick Workshop. Our Jewellers will know what to look for and can advise you of any loose claws and wear of mounts or metal.
